Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #15

Off to Oregon! Yeah! I'm going to meet up with Peggy Ruiz :-)) http://peggysplace-peggys.blogspot.com/
Thank you for hosting stop-over #20 at Let's Scrap's Leap Around the World Blog Hop. http://letsscrap.ning.com/
Here is the sketch by DebbyD Peggy chose for us to play with :-

When I Saw the sketch at first, I was wondering WHAT on earth am I going to do with this one!Well, I asked my Dear Lord to put some stunning plan into my head, and this is what He showed me! Ain't this GREAT!?

PP's Bo-Bunny
Enmarc Crafts Products used:-
  • Chipboard - Jumbo Page Essential : Retro Circles - sprayed with Dazzles : Red Brick
  • Chipboard - Chtistmas Elements : Santa's Sleigh - inked slightly and added Stickles
  • Chipboard - Dress-me-Up Frames : Scalloped Circle - sprayed with Dazzles : Red Brick
  • Chipboard - Short and Sweet : Geseënde Kersfees - Painted with Dewdrops
The flowers and bow are from my stash, but weren't the right colour, so instead of spraying, I painted them with Dazzles : Red Brick and Mystic Olive
I'm sure by now you would ask: 'now what's so stunning about this card. hmmm?'
    Let me show you :-)

I'm quite chuffed with this card. . . hope you like it too ;-)

    A few close-ups:-

Thank you for stopping by :-)
Please leave some love if you liked my creation ;-)

    Bazzill Cardstock - 2 x Green
Patterned Paper by Enmarc Crafts designed by Yvette Conradie - Out of print
Sentiment : Transparency - Friendship from Enmarc Crafts
    and on the inside:

Chipboard - Dress-me-Up : Bigger Corners 4 by Enmarc Crafts

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #13

Safely landed in Boston to have a Tea-Party with Kay Wallace ;-) - http://kaywallacescrapbooking.blogspot.com/ . Thank you Kay for hosting a stop-over in the Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop
Love the sketch by DebbyD you chose and your take on the sketch is super beautiful!

Here's the sketch Kay chose for us to play with :

This is the final idea I decided upon:

I used black c/s for the base of the card. For the topper, I used elephant dung handmade paper. The frame was created with porcupine quills and the feathers I used are guinea-fowl feathers. I covered dress-me-up squares with black c/s and then decorated it.
    Enmarc Crafts Products used:
    Dress-me-Up Squares : Medium
Stamp : Out of Namibia (Limited Edition)

This is what I did on the inside of the card:

and now for a few close-ups:

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you found a wee little bit of inspiration here ;-) Please leave a little 'love', then I know you were here :-))

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #12

Off to North Carolina to visit Cathy van de Bruinhorst - http://cathysobsessions.blogspot.com/
Thank you Cathy for offering a sleep-over at your place! This Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop is exhausting LOL. I really like the sketch by DebbieD you chose :-)

Still on my left-over papers from my recent LO ;-)

Ribbon, Painted Wooden Cupcakes and small flower from my stash
    Enmarc Crafts Products used: www.enmarc.co.za
    Sentiment Stamp - Limited Edition
    and my FAVOURITE Bowmaster

    A 3D look:

Now, for the inside, I stamped a cupcake (Stamp is part of the sentiment stamp set).
I wanted to create something special, but alas, it turned out a mess :-(( I used liquid pearls to put some colour to the stamp, but the liquid pearls wasn't the REAL thing, it was an imitation. So the liquid pearls did not set in a relief way, instead it was 'runny' and went flat :-(  I took the photo whilst the Liquid Pearls were still wet . . . disastrous!

    TYFL :-)

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #10

I spent a couple of hours on the beach this morning with my DH and Diesel our K9. The fresh air, cool sea breeze and the sound of the waves did wonders to my soul! Just miss my children and the grandchildren way too much :-(

Now I'm off to Whitehouse, Texas to visit Sherri Priest - http://www.sherripriest.blogspot.com/ , thank you for hosting one of the Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop Stops Sherri :-) Thanks for the lovely sketch by DebbyD you chose for us to play with :-)

I decided to make a masculine card from bits and pieces of scrappaper and here is what I came up with:

Most of the bank's envelopes are patterned on the inside, so one can use the different patterns for the ties.
Remember to cut the long section of the tie diagonally ;-)
I did not add a little surprise on the inside as I have put a double white inner inside. A few close-ups of the ties:

I raised the centre tie and the sentiment with foam squares/pop dots.

TYFL and I hope you found a wee bit of inspiration here ;-)

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #9

Wonder who is playing instead of doing her REAL LIFE priorities ;-)

Off to Colorado to visit Judy Rakes - http:// judyrakes.blogspot.com  Thank you for hosting a stop over in this HUGE Blog Hop over at Let's Scrap Judy :-) What a great sketch you chose for us to play with!Thank you DebbieD for creating this wonderful sketch!

    Here is the sketch:-

A few ideas ran through my head .. .  love this sketch!

I had a few scraps left from my Enmarc Crafts Social Network DT Pack of September 2011. Patterned Papers are from Webster's Pages. I might be able to create ONE more card from the scraps ;-) We had misty weather all day, so had to take the photos under electric light :-( The last close-up's colours are best.

I used the following Enmarc Crafts products:
Petal Blooms : Brown, Red and Green - Silk Flowers
Plain Embellisment Set : Tag Tagset 3 - chipboard
Miniature : Feathery Bits - Chipboard

    Here are a few Close-ups ;-)

Ahhhhh, and the little surprise on the inside:-

Thank you for stopping by! A little 'love' will be much appreciated :-)

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #8

*PFEEWWWW!* This is going soooo S-L-O-W-L-Y. . . . WILL i EVER MANAGE TO DO THE 50 CARDS???

Well, at long last I could manage to hop over to Sue Colerick's - http://creativitybug.blogspot.com/2012/02/leap-around-world-blog-hop.html#comment-form - Thank you for the great sketch you chose Sue and thank you DebbieD for creating the sketch :-) Please visit Let's Scrap to find out how the blog hop works.

This is the sketch Sue chose for us to play with :

At the moment all brides-to-be here locally, are in the BLACK-mood! I used this sketch to make a sample wedding invitation for one of the brides.

I used Black handmade paper for the base. The Brides Couple is a handmade paper mould which I made in a clay mould and then painted the dried paper mould black, then dry brushed with metallic gold and white craft paint. This is a long procedure, but the results are great! The ribbon wraps around the card and a bow was tied to the right of the card.

A few close-ups - I did not do a little surprise on the inside as the space will be needed for the invitation details.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a little 'love' ;-)

Wilna Cremer promised to take me to the beach when I visit, whooop-whooop! So whilst in Sunny South Africia, I thought it was a very good idea to hop over to her in Balito, Kwa-Zulu, Natal - http://scrappinpreciousmoments.blogspot.com/
Wilna chose another lovely sketch (designed by DebbyD) from the Let's Scrap Sketch Gallery. Please hop over to her blog and just feast your eyes on the gorgeous card she made from this sketch.

I have boxes and boxes full of left-over scrap paper and I chose the soft pink Bazzill Card Stock and Patterned paper from Simple Stories.

    Enmarc Crafts Products used:
Enmarc Bowmaster - I just love this gadget to tie neat bows :-))
    Dress-me-Up : Mini Word - Baby
Mettallook Sticker : Precious (discontinued product)

Here's my take on the challenge:-)

    and a few close-ups ;-)
