Happy Easter

I stumbled across this challenge via Chriss America Real's Blog - http://chrissandlou.blogspot.com/2013/03/just-some-lines-bunnies-chicks.html or you can go directly to  Just Some Lines Digi Stamps

Well, I popped in to see what it was about and I thought I might give it a try as I bought Spectrum Noir Pens which I have not used yet. *Cannot afford Copics :-( *

I do not own any of their Digi Stamps, but Just Some Lines gives a freebie away for their challenges, how super cool is that! :-)
I used a Let's Scrap Sketch for the card I made
and this is what I came up with :

Hope you find the Easter Egg amongst all the chipboard flowers!
The Chipboard flowers and patterned papers are from Enmarc Crafts. Unfortunately the patterned papers are from an old discontinued range. I love the versatility of their WHITEboard chippies which can be coloured to your liking and to suit your project :-) *Happy Dance* I coloured the chipboard flowers with the Spectrum Noir pens as well.

Now  a 3D-view or two
I rounded the egg and used 3D-foam squares to lift the egg in the center section.
And then a little surprise on the inside ;-)
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you've found some inspiration here :-)
Please be so kind to leave a comment so I know you were here.

Homegrown : Printers Tray Class

I had the wonderful privilege to teach a class at the same AWS Scrapbook Marathon which was held in the Strand, Cape Town.

I chose to do a Printers Tray and the tray and all chippies and Dazzles (glimmer spray) are products of Enmarc Crafts I want to thank Enmarc Crafts again for sponsoring the chippies and Dazzles towards my class, I really appreciated it very much!

It seemed though the delegates really enjoyed the class.
Not all of the delegates were familiar with the Enmarc Crafts WHITE BOARD chippies and the versatility of the product. I taught the delegates how one can colour quite a number of different objects with the Dazzles. For this class we coloured chipboard, burlap, paper flowers, lace, used tea bags, swabs, twine and embroidery cotton.

Here are a few close ups of the project:

Handmade Flowers and 'Spirelli' Class by Catherine Lane

The AWS Scrapbook Marathon turned out in a BUMPER weekend full of techniques, fun and laughter!
Still so privileged to attend the class offered by the very talented Catherine Lane ( http://a-stroll-down-memory-lane.blogspot.com ) Catherine taught us to do 'spirelli' as well as handmade flowers.

Here is my finished LO with a photo of my DGD2 who's nick-name is Nanki Pooh
The Chipboard Alpha letters for my Title : NANKI was designed by Enmarc Crafts especially for this LO and the Chipboard Alpha Set is named after this LO. I also used one of my favourite chippies, Feathery Bits - also by Enmarc Crafts  :-)

I had the privilege to attend a techniques class offered by Patricia Basson at the end of October 2012 down in the Strand, Cape Town during the AWS Scrapbook Marathon.

You can check out Patricia's Blog http://patriciabasson.blogspot.com, she has super great  ideas and techniques! She also has a tutorial section where you can find the tutorial for this layout.

I am so proud with the end-result :-))

Wonderwerk in Wording - Miracle in Progress

This is the last of my Challenge Layouts :-)

Mariaan's Challenge

  1. You must use the word “wonder” on your page – My Title ‘Wonderwerk in Wording’
  2. Use 3 Brads or Eyelets or Bling or Pearls . . . .  – 13 sugar candy brads on the retro frame
  3. Buttons. Let’s make it at least 2 – 2x material covered buttons : 1 on the Rhino’s backside, 1 on the left photo and 1x JUMBO button top left of LO

  5. Please add a tiny bit of string or ribbon to your Layout as well – Cannot use tiny bits LOL – String around the frame, Ribbon Bow in Jumbo Button and LOTS of ribbon underneath the Divider : Cute Animals
  6. Have Fun! : Whooop-whoop! This I INDEED had ! Could not STOP adding FLOWERS! – *FIND THE PHOTOS LOL!*
This is Mariaan's Layout:

Thank you so much for a great challenge Mariaan! You inspired me to do this Layout  9 YEARS down the line! The baby room was decorated Jungle Style as Yvette and Cois did not want to know before the time whether it was a Boy or a Girl they were expecting and I guess they hoped for a sweet little Boy ;-) Thus the ‘Jungle’ theme for my LO and YAY! At last Pimboli’s album has a front page!

This is what I came up with: -

Enmarc (www.enmarc.co.za) Chippies Used:
Jumbo Page Essential : Retro Squares
Short & Sweet : Wonderwerk in Wording
Divider : Cute Animals
Plain Photo Corners : Style 3
Page Essential : Chicken Mesh

Other Enmarc products
Bowmaster – My FAVOURITE!
Dazzles : Eggshell, Avocado, Mystic Olive and Poison Ivy

ALTERED BOX

*Pfffffeewww!* Have been without my PC for a couple of weeks :-( The harddrive had to be formatted and hopefully everything is fixed now! *Happy Dance!*

Still some 'OLDIES' that I have never posted . . . .

This was Canica's challenge:

My challenge to you is alter a box. You can choose any theme you like but you will need to use at least 2 handmade flowers & no less than 2 Enmarc chippies on your project. Also I would like to see how creative you can be with the Enmarc chippies. What I mean is try something different & don’t just leave them plain.
What I did with my Enmarc chippies: I sprayed the chipboard pieces using Enmarc Crafts Dazzles & once dry I stamped them.
Here is what I came up with – I covered an old Hat Box & this is going to make a great Christmas gift for a friend.

Canica's Box

I had this Memory Box (wooden blank) for more than 10 years sitting in my 'will-do-someday-projects' and I thought I might as well give the challenge a go!
This is what I came up with:-

Enmarc Products used:

Flexi-Board-erz : Vinez (4x)
Page Corner : Wrought Iron 1 (x2)
Page Corner : Wrought Iron 2 (x2)
Say it with words : Familie Kiekies
Deco Frame : Postage
Fancy Frame : Scallop Circle (DT Pack)

I got my inspiration for the ‘background’ of my box here http://patriciabasson.blogspot.com/2012/03/too-love.html  , thank you Patricia!

The two large Handmade Flowers I created from a Tutorial by Gabrielle Pollacco http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/2010/03/sneak-peek-of-april-kit-from-my.html , thank you Gabrielle, I so much enjoyed your tutorial.

I have covered the flowers too with gesso paste and then painted it.

A closer look :-

Thank you once again for a super great challenge Canica! Glad I could eventually do something about my memory box!

There is one more post for this challenge ;-)

Thank you for stopping by, please leave a message so I know you were here :-)
