#150 - Feeling Sketchy

Hi all you Lovelies!

OH WOW!! My card for #149 : Hold on to Your Dreams, was chosen as a Top Pick over at Feeling Sketchy! Thank you sooooo much!

The First Sketch for August at Feeling Sketchy is up and I have but a few hours to submit my card ;-) I did not have much time for any creativity as other priorities got in the way.

Here is the great sketch designed by Michelle van Wyk:

And here is my take on the sketch:
Yet again bad lighting as the sun is down already :-(

I used patterned papers from a very old Making Memories 6x6 paperpack, Whiteboard embellishments from Enmarc Crafts in South-Africa and the green paper flowers are also from Enmarc Crafts, but the item is long time discontinued.
The leaves were punched out from the same paper range, I tea-dyed the lace flower and the ribbon and large brad are from my stash.
I stamped the sentiment with Memento LUXE : Pistachio and raised it with foam squares onto the card.

A little surprise on the top left corner inside the card:
Enmarc Crafts Products used:

I cut one of the small flowers from the Page Corner : Flower String and used it on the tag.

Thank you for stopping by :-) I hope you found a wee bit of inspiration here and thank you so much for your kind comments!

Hugs and love till next time :-) ♥♥♥

#149 Feeling Sketchy

Hi all you Lovelies!
I made over 200 commissioned cards lately so I am a bit allergic to card making at the moment LOL!

I have so much left over papers and especially from my last layout for the Let's Scrap Sketches challenges, that I just had to make something! I joined in on Feeling Sketchy - Challenge #149. This is a Card Making group and there are really some awesome sketches you can play with!

This is Sketch #149
and here is my take on the sketch.

Now I must admit that I will have to make many more little projects before I will have used all the left-over papers!!

Never Never Give Up! Just Do It!

We recently had a holiday up north and my DH has been dreaming of a microlite flip over the Victoria Falls for many years. Well, this time he actually did it! He said it was incredible and the view from the sky was just breathtakingly awesome!
I used the bi-weekly sketch from Let's Scrap Sketches for my Layout.

As you can see, I did not use the sketch as is, but rotated it to suit my needs. Here is my take on the sketch:

I used some more of my very old stash - Simple Stories : Urban Traveller.

A few close-ups:
For the green background I used a watermark ink pad, stamp and stencil and for the 'droplets' I used Enmarc Craft's Arty Stencil : Bubble Wrap, Finnabair Gold Crackle Paste and ultra fine glitter.

White Board embellishments and other products from Enmarc Crafts:

Summer Fun Blog Hop

Hi Crafty Friends.

Today I am joining in on the fun over at Let's Scrap Sketches! They have a super fun Blog Hop on running from the 1st of July to the 7th of July 2016 and there are LOADS of yummy prizes to win!

I had to take a photo of my workspace/room as it is whether tidy or not! My craft room's light need to be fixed, so I am working on the breakfast nook table at the moment. I am busy making cards for my SIL's shop (finished approx. 80 cards and still a couple more to go), so no time for scrapping! Hopefully I will be able to participate in this week's STUNNING sketch challenge.

Here is a pic of my workspace:

Now I am off to visit all of the participating blogs and will catch you later ;-)

Thank you for stopping by and your comment is much appreciated.
Take care till next time:-)

'Bak & Brou by Ouma Joey' : 6-15-16 - Let's Scrap Sketch

It's really been quite a while since I have scrapped  . . . no mojo and all these mixed-media-single-photo-layouts all over the www were very intimidating as I like to scrap double pages and my page must tell it's own little story.

I also haven't done any of the Let's Scrap Sketch challenges for many many moons . . .

I chose to turn the sketch upside down :-)

So, here's my take on the latest challenge:
The photos are of my DGD3 who visited her other Granny and they baked cupcakes together. . .  or shall I rather say, the little one did what little ones do ;-)
I have sooooo much patterned papers in my stash and used a very old collection which suited best with my photos.
The chipboard embellishments are by Enmarc Crafts and were sprayed with Enmarc Dazzles : Bermuda, Summer Fields and Lemon Meringue and some were glazed after the Dazzles were dry. Then a few of the paper flowers were sprayed with Dazzles : Misty Maroon.
Other embellishments (ribbon, beads, half pearls, paper flowers) are from my stash.

Here are a few close-ups:

ALWAYS - Paper Bag Mini Album

I watched a youtube video by Steffi Miller (Live with Prima) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDCIuB8lH6I
and so I wanted to make one too ;-)

The album consists of 2 paper bags, patterned papers and embellishments. I really enjoyed making this mini album!
I used brown paper bags which I painted black. The patterned papers are from a very old Prima range and so are the flowers and metal stamp embellishment.
Other embellishments are from Enmarc Crafts and are listed below. The Roman Brackets and the word 'always' were sprayed with Dazzles : Anthracite. I added black Stickles and Glaze to the word as well. I used the Alpha Disk to create a spinner to add to the mini album.

Paper Bag Gift Bag - Mixed Media

This gift bag started off to be a quick decorated bag for a gift I wanted to send to my daughter. As always, one idea led to another and I ended up with a mixed media gift bag!

The finished bag:

First a layer of gesso
Then some stamping with Finnabair stamps and Memento Luxe:Rhubarb Stalk
Pasted scraps of old book paper down and then added more texture using Enmarc Crafts Arty Stencils
First I used Dewdrops:Tea Leaves and then pink and chocolate texture paste
Next I sprayed the doily with Dazzles:Eggshell and pasted a section of the sprayed doily down and added more white texture paste
Whilst the texture paste was drying, I painted a green silk flower with white gesso and when it was dry, I sprayed it with Dazzles:Mystic Olive & Avocado. Then some Finnabair stamping when the flower was dry.
I also sprayed a couple of paper flowers with Dazzles
The Deco Frame:Doodle Square was inked with green and then chocolate texture paste added randomly. The the fun part was decorating the paper bag :-) I also used Finnabair art ingredients for the decoration.
A couple of close-ups:
