Challenge 24 - Card Sketch : Enmarc Crafts

Create a card using at least ONE Enmarc product
Things you might want to consider:
  • You may use this sketch any way round : flip it, use it upside down, back to front etc.
  • If there is one place holder for a photo you may change it for smaller photos or vice versa.
  • A flower on the page may be replaced for stars or gears or butterflies or whatever comes to mind.
  • A line on the page may be represented as ribbon, brads, stitching etc etc
  • This sketch is to serve as a starting point for your layout - be inspired and create something stunning for us!!
Here are my takes on the sketch :

Me too bought Spectrum Noir Alcohol colouring pens and I was ‘dying’ to use it ;-)

I rotated the sketch for this challenge.

Enmarc Crafts Products used:

• Plain Embellishment Set : Bookplates, etc – used one of the ovals which was inside one of the oval bookplates
• Plain Embellishment Set : Birds and Birdhouses

This is Life! (Mom and her Girl)

I participated in two Let’s Scrap INSM challenges – http://letsscrap.ning.com
I used 2 separate sketches for each side of the LO and combined them to form a double page LO
The photos are of my DDIL and DGD3 Cathrine-Leigh
I saw the lovely Banner idea on a LO (Sweet Angel) by Tara Orr. I used the Title of the Bingo card as part of my LO’s title and added a chipboard  exclamation mark. Although I have a die to cut paper rosettes, I made these by hand according to a tutorial by Enikö - http://letsscrap.ning.com/forum/topics/turorial-11-making-paper-rosettes-by-hand

Enmarc Crafts Products used:- www.enmarc.co.za

Alpha Sheet : Chunky Monkey U/C
Plain Embellishment Set : Basic Buttons

Say it with Words : Mom and her Girls – I cut the ‘s’ off and used it on the left side in the word ‘this’
Swirls & Flourishes : Flourish No 10

Bingo Card from Tattered Angels
Collage Sheet : Writable Cards
Various Left-over Rub-ons (on the photos)

Me Scrapping Me

So much to do, so little time again and I am so far behind with my blog posts :-( I was supposed to blog this during May already!
I took part in the (INTER)NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING MONTH Chalenge over at Let’s Scrap (http://letsscrap.ning.com) and one of the challenges is to do a double page LO, using the sketch provided and scrap about yourself scrapping – you can check it out here : http://letsscrap.ning.com/forum/topics/insm12-6-scrap-yourself-scrapping
The Sketch :
I hardly ever go to scrap groups nor scrap days or conventions, because I live in a little town in Namibia. So, I am the one teaching classes ;-) I also like to scrap with my daughter whenever we are together, but alas, that doesn’t happen very often. Other than scrapping with my DD, I prefer to scrap on my own, because I like to spread my stash out to pick and choose whatever I want ;-) . . . . ending up with a very untidy scrap roomLOL. I would never have done this LO out of my own! Now, Enikö got me out of bed very early on a PUBLIC HOLIDAY (4th of May 2012) so I could take a shower, get dressed and put lipstick on LOL - had to look pretty for the photos, don’t you think? I had to invade DH’s picture framing table, because my scrap table is stacked with half finished projects . I got the paparazzi to take pictures of me scrapping and after a photo shoot of 60 plus photos, these were the only ones I could really use :-(  It was late already and the light isn’t very good, so the photos are not fantastic!

Thank you Enikö - http://enikodelisle.typepad.com/enikos-playhouse - for a great sketch and challenge! I would never have done this LO out of my own!
Materials used:
Patterned Papers : My Mind’s Eye – Kraft.Funday

Flourishes or Scrolls : Chipboard Flourishes
Flowers : Can’t miss those
Inking : Almost everything
Matting : Behind 4 of the photos
Metal Clip : Used 3 – 2 on photos and 1 on a tag
Stick Pin – In the black ribbon knot and in the large yellow-cream flower, bottom right

Stamping – Stamped the Chipboard flourishes
Twine – Used in the tag banner
