This is the sketch Sue chose for us to play with :

At the moment all brides-to-be here locally, are in the BLACK-mood! I used this sketch to make a sample wedding invitation for one of the brides.

I used Black handmade paper for the base. The Brides Couple is a handmade paper mould which I made in a clay mould and then painted the dried paper mould black, then dry brushed with metallic gold and white craft paint. This is a long procedure, but the results are great! The ribbon wraps around the card and a bow was tied to the right of the card.

A few close-ups - I did not do a little surprise on the inside as the space will be needed for the invitation details.

I have boxes and boxes full of left-over scrap paper and I chose the soft pink Bazzill Card Stock and Patterned paper from Simple Stories.

I had all sorts of ideas in mind, but eventually came up with this card :

I painted all the Chipboard embellishments with metallic gold craft paint. Unfortunately one cannot really see the 'gold' on the card.

I used Black Leather board for the base of my card

I didn't do much on the inside of the card, but pasted a Red Square and Gold cord on the right site. Not everybody has gold, silver, white or any other metallic pen to write with on the black, so I figured it's better to add the red cardstock - it also brightens up the very dull black.

Had yummie chocolate cake at Betty Anne's, enjoyed it so much that I missed my flight to Sue's :-( Well, I could not sit around and thus caught a flight to the Netherlands, Eindhoven to be exact! Debby was the artist of this sketch she chose for us to play with. Lovely sketch Debby and thank you for posting a few cards and LO's based on this sketch (Love them all!)
