Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #4

*Pffewww!* Next stop for me, is with Betty Anne Orr in Ontario Canada!( http://letsgetscraphappy.blogspot.com/ ). Thank you for hosting a blog hop stay-over Betty Anne! Yes, please, I will have a piece of that lovely chocolate cake you baked ;-)

Betty Anne chose this sketch from Let's Scrap for us to play with :

When I saw the sketch, I immediately remembered a paper serviette (napkin) which I have been saving for many many moons for a special card. I thought that there will never come a better opportunity than right now ;-)

Here is what I came up with : (The photos aren't that great, because I took the it underneath the fluorescent light.)

I seperated the serviette's layers so I could use the top layer only and then fixed the serviette onto handmade paper. I love this technique, because the handmade paper adds texture to the serviette. Believe it or not, I got my sewing machine out!
Enmarc Crafts Products ( www.enmarc.co.za ) used:
Designer Frame : Reeds
Short & Sweet : Gelukkige Verjaarsdag (Happy Birthday)
Photo Corners : Hearts

Some close-ups
Publish Post

I used foam squares/pop dots to raise the sentiment

The little stars on the chippie was enhanced with 'confetti' stars

And now for the Inside's little surprise! ;-)

Thanks once again Betty Anne, I truly enjoyed creating this card :-)

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #3

Had such a lovely stay at Elizna's, but it was time to move on! My next stop was across the Atlantic to North Dakota, United States where I visited Jennifer Russell - http://scrapinexpecttheunexpected.blogspot.com/

Jennifer chose this sketch from the Let's Scrap gallery :-

Here is my take on the sketch :

I used handmade paper for the background and all scrap pieces from BC. The Chippie (Hammer) is from Enmarc Craft's Plain Embellishment Sets : Dads Tools, sprayed with Dazzles (Caramel) and the acrylic circle is also a discontinued product of their's. I used StazOn black ink pad to stamp the sentiment.

and the little surprise on the inside:

Thank you for stopping by and please leave a little 'love'  :-)

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #2

The 2nd stop was over at Elizna Parsons http://www.eliznaparsons.blogspot.com in Port Elizabeth, sunny South Africa.
This is the sketch I had to use for inspiration:

Thank you DebbyD for a lovely sketch to work with :-)

Here is my take on the challenge. Will forever be on my STASH ;-)
Patterned paper from Enmarc Crafts - Designed by Alma Carter - not available anymore
All chippies are also from Enmarc Crafts

I added a little surprise to the top left inside of the card too.

Thank you for stopping by and for leaving a little love ;-)

Leap Around the World Blog Hop : Card #1

The Leap starts with Mindi Brown (Scrap. Chat & Coffee Talk) and this is the sketch for the challenge.
I Loved the sketch and this is what I came up with:

Still using my STASH LOL!
Patterned Papers from Enmarc Crafts (designed by Alma Carter) - Not available anymore
All Chippies (Leaf, Tag and Arrow) are also from Enmarc Crafts

I created a flap on the left side which opens easily and on the inside of the flap, I pasted a seed envelope which I covered with patterned paper. The envelope can be used for a key, cheque, cash or a voucher/gift certificate.

Thank you for stopping by :-)
